Our Process

Once we have received all six pieces of your application, the Admissions Committee will consider the application for admission.

While the university has admission standards in place, the Office of Admissions does not rigidly adhere to an admission formula. Students who do not meet all of the above requirements may be considered for provisional admission by the Admissions Committee. Individual review is a routine part of the application process.

The Admission standards are not intended to "judge" who is a Christian and who is not. Rather, they are designed to enroll those people who are most likely to be successful in the North Central Community.

North Central requires all of its students to agree to the Responsibilities of Membership in our university community. North Central University does not discriminate on the basis of race, national origin, sex, age or disability in admission, employment, financial aid, education, programs, or activities.

Our Philosophy

North Central University is a Christ-centered, Pentecostal school with a commitment to academic excellence that prepares students to fulfill biblical models of leadership and ministry throughout the world (Ephesians 4:11-12). As a Christian university we must pursue excellence in academics and in our Christian walk. Our goal is that each student grows in knowledge, Christian maturity, faith, integrity and quality of relationships as a result of their time at North Central.

  • The spiritual atmosphere on campus is definitely one of my favorite things about North Central. It is so refreshing to be encouraged by other students and to fellowship in worship. The many opportunities available, whether it be Praise Gathering, chapel or entry, will be the things that I will remember most about NCU. They have definitely helped shaped me during my time here and to grow closer to God. I have also bonded with many of the girls on my floor and learned to truly appreciate the community. When problems came, their prayers and genuine concern kept me going and encouraged me in my walk with God.   ...more
  • It feels good to know that even when I leave North Central, my profs are still just a phone call or text message away.   ...more
  • "Dr. Menzies is a leader in thinking and ideas, not only for North Central University, but for Assembly of God higher education,” said Vice President of Academic Affairs Dr. Thomas Burkman. “He is a strong contributor to the discussion of improved quality and effectiveness in higher education.”   ...more
  • Every day our students go far beyond the classroom to serve and allow God to work through them.   ...more
  • Chapel encourages risk taking, leadership, and love to be shown through everything I do with Jesus' name on it not for my cause, but for His will to be done. Could there be any better preparation for life?   ...more
  • The North Central Rams are growing, and only getting better.   ...more
  • Being part of NCU athletics has enabled me to experience what true leadership is. Not only one person leads, but we all, through our walk in Christ, lead and keep each other accountable to our purposes in the Kingdom of God.   ...more
  • I love working with other passionate, self-sacrificing, professionals in hopes of shaping the next generation into effective agents of change in the world.   ...more
  • One time, a professor told the class how much he loved us... and then he cried. It was awesome.   ...more
  • The student body is my favorite thing about North Central. When I first showed up, everybody said 'hi' to me - and I had no idea who they were! Everyone is so welcoming.   ...more
