Minneapolis/St. Paul:

  • has a 12-mile Light Rail transit system that connects downtown to the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport and the Mall of America. A rail station is located only three blocks from our campus.

The Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area offers opportunities and attractions that will enhance your college experience. The booming economy in Minneapolis makes it easy to find wellpaying jobs. There is a limitless supply of part-time jobs, many of which are within walking distance or assessable through public transportation. North Central has two bus stops on campus and a light-rail station only three blocks away.

Finding fun is easy

Mall of America, the largest shopping and entertainment complex in the United States, is located just 15 minutes from campus and has over 500 stores, 50 restaurants, and an indoor theme park. Other local attractions include Valleyfair Amusement Park, the Guthrie Theatre, the Walker Art Center, Minnesota Institute of Art, Como Zoo and the Minnesota Zoological Garden. Minneapolis/St. Paul is home to the Vikings (NFL), Twins (MLB), Timberwolves (NBA), Wild (NHL), and Lynx (WNBA). The Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area also has an abundance of regional theaters, museums and concert halls. Our local theater community is recognized as one of the most active in the country and we have two world-class orchestras. 

Finding something to do after a long week of classes is no problem. Minneapolis is well known for its lakes, riverfront and parks that have miles of trails for inline skating, biking and walking. In the winter time, Minneapolis has many facilities close-by for skiing, snow boarding, snowmobiling, ice skating and ice hockey.
