North Central University is a faith-based, Assemblies of God-affiliated, post-secondary institution. All employees of the University are asked to sign and adhere to a Christian Community Life Standards agreement, indicating commitment to a lifestyle that is in alignment with the Assemblies of God / NCU Christian community.

The goal of the Human Resources and Risk Management Department is to recruit and develop highly-qualified employees; to provide quality service to university employees and to safeguard NCU’s resources through responsible risk management.
Risk Management
Risk Management includes all aspects of Worker’s Compensation including the review and investigation of worker’s compensation injuries and maintaining accident loss time injuries and medical separation; administration of safety programs; negotiation of all insurance programs; processing of liability claims, and various other factors affecting risk management.

Tuition Benefit
Employee Tuition Benefit
Regular full-time (40 hours per week) and regular part-time with benefit employees (30+ hours per week) are permitted and encouraged to take up to three North Central credits in the fall and spring semesters. The employee tuition benefit discount does not extend to summer course offerings. With the tuition benefit discount, tuition, general fees and technology fees are waived. Applied lesson, directed research, and class fees are the responsibility of the employee.
Employee Dependent Tuition Benefit Discount
The spouse and/or dependent children (as defined by federal financial aid regulations) of regular full-time (40 hours per week) employees may receive up to 100% paid tuition through the Employee Dependent Tuition Benefit Discount. The Employee Dependent Tuition Benefit Discount can only be applied to tuition. All other costs such as general fees, class fees, housing, textbooks and meal plans are the responsibility of the student (whether the student is full-time status or part-time status). In order to qualify for the Employee Dependent Tuition Benefit Discount, all spouses/dependents who are taking 6 or more credits MUST first file for federal and state financial aid.
Paid Time Off
Vacation
Vacation is granted on an accrual basis at the rate of 3.07 hours per pay period (for full-time employee) or 10 days per year. Vacation is available for usage after 90 days of employment. Upon completion of 5 years of employment vacation time is increased to 15 days per year.
Discretionary Leave
Full-time regular employees are awarded a total of 48 hours (6 days) of discretionary leave per calendar year. This is available for sickness, medical appointments, personal time, etc.
Holiday Pay
NCU currently has 10 paid holidays that are observed as paid-time-off for employees. In addition to these holidays, Christmas week is also observed as paid-time-off when granted by the President's Cabinet (this is voted upon annually and not guaranteed on an annual basis).
